Ladiga Manor under New Ownership as ‘Legacy Village of Jacksonville’

Memory Care Unit to Expand with Planned Construction of 12,000-Square-Foot Alzheimer’s Wing

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (March 4, 2014) – The senior living facility formerly known as Ladiga Manor has been acquired by Legacy Senior Services, LLC, and renamed Legacy Village of Jacksonville, it was formally announced today.

The change of ownership took place in November.

In addition to maintaining the high level of assisted living services currently offered at Legacy Village, plans are underway to expand its memory care unit with the construction a 12,000-square-foot Alzheimer’s care wing, called The Harbor.

“This state-of-the-art Alzheimer’s care facility is the result of years of planning and development with notable experts and researchers in the field of memory loss,” said Tabetha Parker, administrator of Legacy Village of Jacksonville.

“With The Harbor, we are expanding Legacy Village’s existing capacity to serve those families of Jacksonville and Calhoun County who have been affected by Alzheimer’s or other memory care disorders. The Harbor’s architectural design, unique interiors and innovative technology will provide a great home for those living with these terrible diseases. We are excited about plans to break ground in the spring of 2014,” said Barry Ray, President of Legacy Senior Services, of Cleveland, Tenn.

“We are excited to become a part of the Jacksonville and Calhoun County community, and we are committed to serving the senior population here with excellence. Also, we are pleased to carry on the tradition of service and care provided by the previous ownership group,” said Bryan Cook, Senior Vice President of Legacy Senior Services.
